What is ePaper?

Looks like a display screen

With the frame design, the appearance is similar to that of ordinary digital displays, making it easy for enterprises to introduce it.

Four core technologies of ePaper

Electronic Ink

ePaper display technology is derived from E Ink electronic ink, which uses micro-capsule electronic ink. The colored particles use the principle of positive and negative attraction and move according to the voltage to form an image.

Reflective Display

Unlike LCD screens that use backlight, ePaper relies on natural light reflection to form images. The stronger the light, the clearer the display, without glare or blinding.

Dual-state characteristics

The screen only consumes power when it is updated. Static content can be displayed for a long time without the need for continuous power supply, which is extremely energy-saving.

Color display

Currently supports nearly 65,000 colors (E Ink Spectra 6). The display is rich and colorful, with a wide color gamut, and is natural, soft and non-reflective, and can present images clearly.

ePaper makes “printing less paper” a truly sustainable action.

The production and life cycle of each A4 sheet of paper generates approximately 4.5 grams of carbon emissions.
When one ePaper replaces one sheet of paper output every day, it can reduce more than 300 sheets of paper and approximately 1.35 kilograms of carbon emissions per year.

If an enterprise deploys 20 ePaper devices, it can reduce the use of more than 6,000 sheets of paper each year and reduce carbon emissions by approximately 27 kg CO₂e.
This is equivalent to the carbon emissions generated by riding a motorcycle for more than 200 kilometers.

ePaper continues to improve

Richer colors

From black and white, three colors, seven colors, to the latest Spectra 6 full-color electronic paper, it now supports more than 65,000 colors, with richer color rendering. This makes electronic paper no longer just a functional display, but also takes into account visual communication.

Improved page switching speed

In the past, electronic paper was mainly used for static information, but now the updated technology can support faster page switching and screen update speeds. The user experience is smoother and the information response is more immediate.

More sizes

From 2-inch electronic labels to 31.5-inch large advertising billboards, electronic paper now covers small personal devices, medium-sized enterprise applications, and large public information displays, becoming a true "full-field display solution."
